MINUTES OF THE REGULAR ORONO COUNCIL MEETING HELD MARCH 17, 1987 <br />PLANNING COMMISSION COMPOSITION CONTINUED <br />It was moved by Councilmember Callahan, seconded by <br />Councilmember Sime, to adopt Ordinance No. 30 Second <br />Series as an Ordinance amendment to Section 2.51 to be <br />effective upon publication; amending it to exclude the <br />following statement "Should deadlock vote occur.. ". <br />Motion, Ayes 5, Nays 0. <br />PUBLIC HEARING DATE C.D.B.G. FUNDS <br />MARCH 30, 1987 - 7:00 P.M. <br />It was moved by Councilmember Callahan, seconded by <br />Councilmember Peterson, the City Council will conduct a <br />public hearing on March 30, 1987 at 7:00 P.M. to receive <br />citizen input for designation of Year XIII Community <br />Development Block Grant Funds for 1987. Motion, Ayes 5, <br />Nays 0. <br />BIG ISLAND BOARD OF GOVERNORS <br />HAZARDOUS BUILDING PROCEEDINGS <br />City Administrator Bernhardson clarified for <br />Councilmember Goetten the relationship between this <br />action and the conditional use permit for Big Island <br />workers. <br />It was moved by Mayor Grabek, seconded by Councilmember <br />Sime, to table the hazardous building proceedings on Big <br />Island from March 9th to May 27th, 1987 at which time it <br />will be reviewed in light of the status - of the <br />conditional use permit. Motion, Ayes 5, Nays 0. <br />TRAFFIC STUDY REQUEST - SHORELINE DRIVE <br />RESOLUTION #2148 <br />Councilmember Peterson and Goetten questioned who would <br />pay for this study. City Administrator stated Hennepin <br />County is responsible. <br />It was moved by Councilmember Sime, seconded by <br />Councilmember Goetten, that the Council approve <br />Resolution #2148 requesting Hennepin County Department <br />of Transporation to conduct a traffic study on Shoreline <br />Drive (County Rd. 15) between West Ferndale Road and <br />Orono Orchard Road. Motion, Ayes 5, Nays 0. <br />LIQUOR ORDINANCE AND <br />PUBLICATION SUMMARY ADOPTION <br />ORDINANCE NO. 31 SECOND SERIES <br />Councilmember Callahan asked who drafted this ordinance <br />noting the importance of this comprehensive ordinance <br />amendment. <br />_. 11 <br />
