MINUTES OF THE REGULAR ORONO COUNCIL MEETING HELD FEBRUARY 23, 1981 <br />CASH REGISTER PURCHASE* <br />It was moved by Councilmember Sime, seconded by <br />Councilmember Goetten, to authorize the purchase of an <br />electronic cash register - date terminal system from <br />Retail Data Systems of Minnesota as proposed in the <br />amount of $5,190.00. Motion, Ayes 4, Nays 0. <br />1986 BUDGET ADJUSTMENTS* <br />It was moved by Councilmember Sime, seconded by <br />Councilmember Goetten, to approve as presented the <br />adjustments to the 1986 General Fund department budgets <br />for comparable worth and other salary and retirement <br />benefits. Such adjustments are funded by monies <br />budgeted in 1986 in the General Fund and result in no <br />increase in the total 1986 budget. Motion, Ayes 4, Nays <br />0. <br />CITY AUCTION* <br />It was moved by Councilmember Sime, seconded by <br />Councilmember Goetten, the Council approves the sale of <br />vehicles at auction on April 4, 1987. Motion, Ayes 4, <br />Nays 0. <br />POLICE OFFICER SALARY ADJUSTMENT* <br />MARK MORAN <br />It was moved by Councilmember Sime, seconded by <br />Councilmember Goetten, the City Council authorizes the <br />increase to the third year level effective February 14, <br />1987 for Officer Mark Moran. Motion, Ayes 4, Nays 0. <br />SHARDLOW LETTER OF <br />City Administrator Bernhardson clarified questions <br />regarding this item for Councilmember Goetten. <br />It was moved by Councilmember Sime, seconded by Mayor <br />Grabek, to appropriate $2,000.00 from the contingency <br />for use on the Highway 12 Corridor Study Comprehensive <br />Plan amendment. Motion, Ayes 5, Nays 0. <br />ADMINISTRATOR'S INFORMATION* <br />It was moved by Councilmember Sime, seconded by <br />Councilmember Goetten, to accept City Administrator <br />Bernhardson's Information regarding the Comprehensive <br />Plan #2 - Highway 12 Corridor. Motion, Ayes 4, Nays 0. <br />PLANNING COMMISSION RECOGNITION <br />Councilmember Sime suggested that special recognition be <br />given to Gloria McDonald and George Rovegno for the <br />service on the Planning Commission. <br />City Administrator Bernhardson stated that was on the <br />agenda for the first meeting in March. <br />17 <br />
