MINUTES OF THE REGULAR ORONO COUNCIL MEETING HELD DECEMBER 8, 1986 <br />1987 FEE SCHEDULE CONTINUED <br />It was moved by Mayor Butler, seconded by Councilmember <br />Frahm, to adopt Ordinance No. 28 Second Series as <br />amended establishing the Fee Schedule for 1987 together <br />with the attached summary for publication. Motion, Ayes <br />5, Nays 0. <br />REQUEST TO AMEND BASIS OF* <br />CREDITING INTEREST EARNED ON CITY FUNDS <br />RESOLUTION #2105 <br />It was moved by Mayor Butler, seconded by Councilmember <br />Grabek, to adopt Resolution #2105 amending the basis for <br />computing the allocation by fund of investment interest <br />earned each month. Motion, Ayes 5, Nays 0. <br />DESIGNATION OF-CITY OFFICIALS* <br />AUTHORIZED TO APPROVE COLLATERAL <br />TRANSACTIONS <br />RESOLUTION #2106 <br />It was moved by Mayor Butler, seconded by Councilmember <br />Grabek, to adopt Resolution #2106 designating City <br />officials authorized to approve collateral transactions. <br />Motion, Ayes 5, Nays 0. <br />SPECIAL PURCHASE - CHECK PROTECTOR <br />It was moved by Mayor Butler, seconded by Councilmember <br />Grabek, to authorize the expenditure of $485.00 from the <br />Improvement and Equipment Outlay Fund for the purchase <br />of a check protector from F &E Sales and Service. <br />Motion, Ayes 5, Nays 0. <br />1987 ANIMAL CONTROL CONTRACT <br />City Administrator Bernhardson explained due to lack of <br />animal control contractors available, staff recommends <br />that the City initiate setting up a Community Service <br />Officer program to provide not only animal control <br />services but to the extent that there are related <br />services that might blend with this job, that personnel <br />be utilized for those in addition, with the program to <br />be in the amounts budgeted. <br />ELECTRONIC SIREN* <br />It was moved by Councilmember, Grabek, seconded by <br />Councilmember Frahm, to direct staff to continue to <br />locate a private contracting service for animal control. <br />Motion, Ayes 5, Nays 0. <br />It was moved by Mayor Butler, seconded by Councilmember <br />Grabek, to authorize staff to enter into a contract with <br />Electric Service for construction of electronic siren <br />in the amount of $11,668 and purchase of a steel pole up <br />to $790, at the water tower location. Additionally <br />staff is instructed to work with Spring Park regarding <br />their contribution towards construction of this siren. <br />Motion, Ayes 5,.Nays 0. <br />14 <br />
