JEM Technical Marketing (jemtechnical.com) is a <br /> manufacturer of high performance hydraulic, electro-hydraulic, and pneumatic cartridge <br /> valves, currently based in three buildings in Long Lake and rapidly outgrowing their existing <br /> facilities. They would like to remain in this area and have a purchase agreement with Ryan <br /> for the building at 550 OCB Road, subject to the ability to expand that building by <br /> constructing a 20,000 s.f. 2-story addition to its south end. Section 78- <br /> 822,the list of"I"District Permitted Uses, includes "3. Manufacturing or assembly of a <br /> wide variety of products that produces no exterior noise, glare,fumes, obnoxious products, <br /> byproducts or wastes, or creates other objectionable impact on the environment. These shall <br /> include the following: a. Manufacturing, compounding, assembly,packaging, treatment or <br /> storage of products and materials. Expressly prohibited activities shall include: the <br /> stockpiling and Yecycling of aggregate materials or supplies of more than 25 cubic yards." <br /> The proposed manufacturing use appears to meet the criteria of this permitted use. <br />
