The applicant's plan to <br /> expand the overhangs on the gable ends by 18 inches requires variances because of the nonconforming <br /> location of the existing home. The survey and building elevation e�ibits have been color coded to <br /> illustrate where the expanded overhangs will be located. <br /> Staff provided an analysis of the practical difficulties within the Staff report. If the Planning Commission <br /> wishes,the individual criteria can be discussed tonight. <br /> Staff recommends approval of the variances. <br /> The Planning Commission had no questions for Staff. <br /> Michael Gallus,Applicant, stated he would be available to answer any questions. <br /> Chair Thiesse opened the public hearing at 7:13 p.m. <br /> There were no public comments regarding this application. <br /> Chair Thiesse closed the public hearing at p.m. <br /> Lemke commented the application is pretty straight forward. <br /> Olson stated it is improving the aesthetics of the house. <br /> Schoenzeit stated it also improves the functionality of the home. <br /> Lemke moved,Schoenzeit seconded,to recommend approval of Application No. 16-3835,Michael <br /> Gallus Construction on behalf of Guy Milliren, 1991 Fagerness Point Road,granting of a 75-foot <br /> and average lakeshore setback variances. City <br /> Code Section 78-1437(3)b allows for the installation of plumbing fixtures, including a bathtub or shower <br /> in an accessory building subject to conditions and a restrictive covenant.
