In <br /> the process they intend to modify the roofline to improve the aesthetics.The eaves will be <br /> shortened by approximately 9 inches and the gables will be extended by 18 inches.The <br /> extension of eaves into required yards is permissible, up to 2 feet, provided the building <br /> maintains the required setback. However because the majority of the home on the peninsula is <br /> lakeward of the 75-foot and average lakeshore setbacks,variances are required. <br />
