The installed height of any luminaire used for outdoor lighting o�,n any zoning lot exce�t <br /> for street li�htin�, shall not exceed the following limits: <br /> Zonin�Lot Ma�cimum Ir►stalled Heipht <br /> Residential Light�ing Zone 20 ft <br /> Commercial/Industrial Li htiang Zone 25 ft <br /> (�) Prohibited Dutdoor Lightin.� The followin�outdoor lightin�applications are prohibited in a11 zonin.g <br /> districts: <br /> 1. The use of laser li t sou�rce; <br /> 2. The use of flickering, flashing,blinkin�l scrollin�, or rotating li�hts and anX <br /> illuminarion that changes intensitv: <br /> 3. The use of upward d'uected li tin ,�pt as otherwise permitted herein; <br /> 4.Architectural lighting of an�portion of a building ar structure with a polished or glass <br /> exterior surface that uses u�li�htingi <br /> 5. The use of searchli h�ts; <br /> 6. The use of neon light to accent buildings or architectural features• <br /> 7. The use of iight sources above 3300 degree Kelvin for new lighting installations• <br /> except for plavin�;fields, open sales lots; and <br /> 8.Any luminaire creating glare that is deemed by the City to create a hazard or nuisance <br /> (h) Exempt Outdoor Lighting'The following_outdoor lightin�applications are exempt from aIl <br /> requirements of this ordinance:, <br /> 1. Underwater li tin used for the illumination of swirnmin ools and fountains• <br /> 2.Lightin�required by county, state, or fec3eral law: <br /> 3. Temporar�ghting used for holidaX decoration; <br /> 4. Decorative vard liehtin�characterized hv a flame source; <br /> 5. Portable lightin�temporarilv used for maintenance or repair that is not deemed bY the <br /> City to create a hazard or nuisance; <br /> 6.Emergencv li ting used bv nolice firefi h�tin�� emer��a ement or medzcal <br /> versonnel at their discretion as long as the emergency exists; <br /> 7.Li ttin�approved hv the City for temporar�pecial events: and <br /> 8. Temporarv li htin�required for road construction or other public improvements. <br /> �i) Approval. CommerciaU Industrial Li htin��roposed for Commercial Institutionat or Indusfirial <br /> Uses shall be illustrated on a plan and submitted in accordance with Division 4 Site Plan <br /> Lightin�plans mav include: <br /> 1. A site plan complete with all structures,parki.n�spacey buildin�entran.ces.traffic areas <br /> �both vehicular and pedestrian),vegetation that mi�,�t interfere wrth Iig_hting and aiI <br /> adjacent uses. The site plan shall show,by location, and identifv each existinga.nd <br /> proposed luminaire and shall specifv its installed heip�pole foundation details and <br /> mounting methods; <br /> 2. Iso-footcandle plots for individual li tin�installations or 10' x 10' illuminance �rid <br /> plots for multi-fixture li ng_tin_g installations,which demonstrate compliance with all <br /> applicable requirements set forth within this Ordinance. The plots shall indicate tl�e <br /> location of each existi.ng and proposed luminaire,the installed hei�ht of said Iuminaires <br /> and the overall lig,ht levels in faot candles on the entire aoning lot and at the�ropertx <br /> lines; <br /> 3.
