MINUTES OF THE REGULAR ORONO COUNCIL MEETING HELD JANUARY 27, 1986 <br />BOARD OF REVIEW* <br />MAY 27, 1986 - 6:00 PM <br />It was moved by Mayor Butler, seconded by Councilmember <br />Adams, that the Council set 6:00 PM, May 27, 1986 as the <br />time and date for the 1986 Board of Review. Motion, <br />Ayes 5, Nays 0. <br />PURCHASE OF ADDITIONAL VEHICLE SCALES* <br />It was moved by Mayor Butler, seconded by Councilmember <br />Adams, that the Orono City Council approve purchase of <br />the 4 scales and that the appropriate budget adjustment <br />be made. Motion, Ayes 5, Nays 0. <br />LIQUOR STORE EMPLOYMENT - PART TIME* <br />It was moved by Mayor Butler, seconded by Councilmember <br />Adams, that the City Council approve the employment of <br />Don Rolf, Jr. commencing at $4.50 per hour on a three <br />month period and that on the three month mark a review <br />be undertaken to see if an increase to $5.00 per hour is <br />appropriate. Motion, Ayes 5, Nays 0. <br />AMENDED TRUCK ORDER AUTHORIZATION* <br />It was moved by Mayor Butler, seconded by Councilmember <br />Adams, that the Council authorize adjustment of the <br />purchase of 2 4 /WD vehicles for a total of $10,848.07 <br />for B & Z and $10,983.07 for Public Works. Motion, Ayes <br />5, Nays 0. <br />APPROVAL OF EMERGENCY REPAIR* <br />It was moved by Mayor Butler, seconded by Councilmember <br />Adams, that the Council approve emergency repair of the <br />front end loader for a maximum of $9,500 and that $8,500 <br />be transferred from contingency to fund the bulk of the <br />expenditure. Motion, Ayes 5, Nays 0. <br />WAYZATA FIRE CONTRACT EXTENSION* <br />It was moved by Mayor Butler, seconded by Councilmember <br />Adams, that the City Council approve extension of the <br />Wayzata fire service contract for 1986, in the amount of <br />$8,952. Motion, Ayes 5, Nays 0. <br />ADMINISTRATOR'S INFORMATION <br />It was moved by Mayor Butler, seconded by Councilmember <br />Adams, that City Council accept City Administrator <br />Bernhardson's information report regarding: Big Island <br />Veteran's Camp, Schedule Changes, Schlee Builders, <br />Zoning "Written Acknowledgements ", and Emergency <br />Preparedness Exercise. Regarding the proposed Emergency <br />Preparedness Exercise, Mayor Butler requested that City <br />Administrator Bernhardson try and re- schedule for an <br />earlier date so that she may attend.
