• <br />ORONO CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br />MINUTES FOR MARCH 22, 1999 <br />Public Comments, continued) <br />position of the country club has changed over time with the country club now pursuing permanent <br />access. Storch indicated they were led to believe at the time of their purchase that they were <br />purchasing a house on a cul -de -sac, which would not be the case should this road be approved. <br />Storch urged the City Council to keep this road access closed. <br />Mayor Jabbour commented that it was the City's position they would not act on this matter until <br />the proper public process has been completed. The City has requested from the beginning that <br />Woodhill Country Club go through the appropriate public process, and at this time the City has <br />not made a determination as to the status of the roadway. The City is currently in the process of <br />discovery and no decision will be made by the City until the appropriate public process has <br />been completed. <br />Jabbour stated it is the intent of the City Council to deal with this matter in good faith and this <br />issue is open for discussion between the residents of Orono and Woodhill Country Club. <br />Storch noted that they have not sought out publicity on this issue but have approached the City <br />in a good faith effort in order to arrive at a just solution to this problem. <br />Jabbour commented that it is not his desire to discuss this issue at length since the country club <br />is not represented at tonight's meeting, but he would like the citizens to know that they do have the <br />right to be heard on this issue. <br />• ZONING ADMINISTRATOR'S REPORT <br />*( #6) #2227 GARY TUCKER, 3466 IVY PLACE - VARIANCE - RESOLUTION NO. 4257 <br />Sansevere moved, Flint seconded, to approve Application #2227, 3466 Ivy Place, and <br />adopt RESOLUTION NO. 4257, a Resolution Granting an Amendment to a Variance to Permit <br />a Change to the Roof Line for Property Located at 3466 Ivy Place. VOTE: Ayes 4, Nays 0. <br />( #7) #2451 LYLE AND GRETCHEN SHAW, 1780 SHADYWOOD ROAD - VARIANCES <br />Moorse indicated the Applicant has requested that this item be removed from tonight's agenda and <br />be set on the April 12th agenda. <br />Weinberger stated a letter extending the time period through May has been sent to the Applicants. <br />Peterson moved, Flint seconded, to table Application #2451, 1780 Shadywood Road, to the <br />April 12 City Council meeting at the request of the Applicants. VOTE: Ayes 4, Nays 0. <br />( #8) #2458 ZONING CODE AMENDMENT - LRAC -1, ONE FAMILY LAKESHORE RESIDENTIAL <br />Mayor Jabbour indicated the City Attorney has some concerns regarding this item and would like <br />the Planning Commission to review this item again. <br />City Attorney Barrett stated there are findings of fact that the Planning Commission should review <br />. before arriving at a determination. <br />Page 3 <br />
