' • <br />ORONO CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br />MINUTES FOR MARCH 22, 1999 <br />(Appointment of Part-Time Police Officer and Full -Time Community Service Officer, • <br />continued) <br />Peterson indicated she would like to see the new police officer be hired on a full -time basis. <br />Jabbour commented that the position should be reviewed to determine whether full -time status is <br />necessary. <br />Sansevere moved, Flint seconded, to approve the hiring of Jeffrey Johnson as the <br />part-time police officer and to approve the hiring of Robin Hoecht as the new CSO. <br />VOTE: Ayes 3, Nays 1. <br />Peterson was opposed because the position was on a part -time basis and not a full -time position, <br />noting she is 100 percent in support of both candidates. <br />ADJOURNMENT <br />Flint moved, Sansevere seconded, to adjourn the meeting at 9:15 p.m. <br />ATTEST: <br />r <br />rinda'S.
