It was a grocery store. The east portion(occupied by the liquor store) was added later. In 1976 the grocery store moved to a new building on the east side of Kelly Avenue. In addition to the liquor store, current tenants on the first floor are an auto parts store and the Navarre post office. There is a bowling alley in the basement that is in the process of obtaining a conditional use permit so it may reopen. The vacant area on the corner was formerly occupied by a gas station. It was removed in 1989. Since then this area has been used occasionally by seasonal businesses.
