Some contractors
favor winter work while others prefer summer work. There was also a concern that the winter work
might not be possible given the thin ice on the area lakes.
McMillan asked when the work will likely commence.
Amundsen noted they have a meeting with the contractor on Wednesday to resolve access issues and that
the Public Works Department is ready to proceed with the work. Amundsen indicated he expects the
work will commence in approximately a week "and a half.
McMillan asked whether any public input was received from the area residents.
F,
Amundsen indicated they have not received any public comments. Amundsen noted that they had
originally estimated this work at around $180,000, with the Peterson bid coming in at approximately
$132,000.
•
