� 9 �� <br /> � : Ci.t o� ORONO <br /> - 3' <br /> • C�'1 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> � " NO. 2 810 <br /> • - • • <br /> A RSSOLIITION GRANTING . <br /> A VARIANC$ TO � <br /> MONICIPAL ZONING CODE . <br /> SECTION 10.22, SIIBDIVISION 2 <br /> FILS #1522 <br /> WHEREAS, James and JoAnn Nordlie (hereinafter "the <br /> applicants") are' the owners of the property located at 2505 <br /> Dunwoody Avenue within the City of Orono (hereinafter "City") and <br /> legally described as follows: <br /> Lot 8 , Block 8, Townsite of Langdon Park, Hennepin County, <br /> Minnesota (hereinafter "the property"); and <br /> WHER$AS, the applicants have applied to the City for a <br /> variance to Municipal Zoning Code Section 10.22, Subdivision 2 to <br /> permit the construction of additions to the existing residence, <br /> such additions constituting additional hardcover in the 75-250' <br /> zone in excess of the 25g hardcover normal ly allowed. <br /> • NOW, TH$REFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Counci 1 of <br /> Orono, Minnesota: <br /> FINDINGS <br /> 1. This application was reviewed as Zoning Fi1e #1522. <br /> � 2. The property is located in the LR-1C Single Family <br /> Lakeshore Residential Zoning District. <br /> 3. The Orono Planning Commission reviewed this application <br /> on May 21, 1990, and recommended approval of the proposed <br /> variance based upon the following findings: <br /> A) The proposed addition meets all standards of the <br /> Orono Zoning Code except for the hardcover limitation. <br /> B) A significant portion of hardcover on the property <br /> is in blacktop dri.veway areas, of which portions could <br /> be removed in order to decrease hardcover on the <br /> property to the 35� level, as compared to the existing <br /> 38.07� in the 75-250 ' zone. <br /> 4. The Cit.y Council has considered this application <br /> including the findings and recommendations of the Planning <br /> Commission, reports by City staff , comments by the <br /> • applicants and the effect of the proposed variance on the <br /> health, safety and welfare of the community. <br /> Page 1 of 4 <br />
