We do not require a <br /> building permit for fences but they must meet our code requirements. A site inspection <br /> revealed that the fence does not meet city code requirements. Orono code requires you to <br /> have the finished side of the fence facing�the neighbors. Your fence has the finished <br /> side inward so the finished side of the fence faces your property. We also only allow the <br /> fence to be 6 feet high. We measure from grade so make sure that the fence is only 6 feet <br /> from the ground. <br /> Please inake the required changes to your fence by 11-26-04.
