MINUTES OF THE <br />ORONO CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br />Monday, November 28, 2005 <br />7:00 o'clock p.m. <br />(Licenses, Continued) <br />Murphy stated he would like to see the criteria for denial prior to Anderst appearing before the Council. <br />Sansevere noted the application would need to be approved at the next council meeting or the <br />establishment would be prohibited from selling liquor until this situation is resolved. <br />Murphy stated in his opinion each time the City has an opportunity to deal with this applicant the City is <br />required to obtain additional information from other sources due to the failure of the applicant to <br />provide it. <br />McMillan stated that the City should attempt to work with the applicants in situations like this to clarify <br />what is expected. <br />Sansevere stated the applicant could have thought that the 2002 incident was no longer relevant and it was <br />an oversight. Sansevere suggested the criteria be discussed at the work session, and noted that the <br />language reads that a fine would be imposed, not may be. <br />Murphy suggested the City of Long Lake be contacted to see how they have handled similar situations. <br />White moved, Sansevere seconded, to approve license applications 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 7, 8, and 9, and to <br />table Item No. 4, the Narrows Saloon, to the December Council meeting. VOTE: Ayes 4, Nays 0, <br />McMillan Abstained. <br />*13.
