MINUTES OF THE <br />ORONO CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br />Monday, October 10, 2005 <br />7:00 o'clock p.m. <br />( #05 -3121 Narrows Saloon, Continued) <br />Frank stated parking appears to be a big issue for the businesses in this area, and recommended that the <br />City review the layout of the parking lot. <br />Peterson indicated the number of stalls might decrease; if they are striped according to code. <br />Peterson stated she also concurs with Council Members Sansevere and Murphy regarding the parking in <br />this area, but that her biggest concern is the atmosphere of the community and how the Narrows Saloon <br />started as a neighborhood bar but is now turning into an establishment that is drawing from a wider <br />region. Peterson stated it might be time to consider relocating the Narrows Saloon where more parking is <br />available on site. <br />i <br />Sudheimer stated in her opinion this establishment willl continue to improve and attract more people. <br />Sudheimer stated any successful business is going to attract people whether the Narrows Saloon or <br />another business is located on this site and that the panting lot is going to be full. <br />Peterson stated noise from motorcycles is also a <br />•Sudheimer stated in the summertime motorcyclists drive out to the lake and that more motorcyclists <br />frequent Lord Fletchers than their establishment. <br />Murphy stated the type of clientele would change if the kind of music being played changed. <br />Sansevere stated he was under the impression that the expansion was being driven by the restaurant side <br />of the business. <br />Sudheimer stated it is difficult to tell from this print, <br />restaurant area. <br />McMillan inquired what the numbers would be for <br />is 145. <br />that there is a wall separating the bar from the <br />restaurant.
