VOTE: Ayes 5, <br /> Nays 0. <br /> 6. #08-3381 BARRY TANNER,3435 SHORELINE DRIVE,CONDITIONAL USE <br /> PERMIT,7:53 P.M.—8:53 P.M. <br /> Barry Tanner,Applicant,was present. <br /> Turner stated the applicant is requesting a conditional use permit to operate a bowling center in <br /> the basement of the building,with access to the facility being from the south. <br /> Turner noted additional information is required before Staff can make a formal, detailed <br /> recommendation. Staff is requesting the Planning Commission discuss the application as <br /> currently proposed and provide the applicant direction. <br /> Turner stated under the current code,the maximum number of parldng spaces required would be <br /> 133. If the existing parking area were shiped,there would be 104 parking spaces. Storage areas, <br /> hallways,restrooms and similar areas of the main level of the building can be excluded from the <br /> parldng requirement. <br /> Other issues the Planning Commission should discuss are hours of operation,noise,trash, <br /> lighting, signage, and screening. The neighbors have expressed concerns regarding lighting and <br /> noise. Staff is recommending that a lighting plan be provided that would provide adequate <br /> lighting during business and non-business hours while not encroaching on the residential <br /> neighbors.
