Unfortunately portions of this fence violates Orono Zoning Code which prohibits fences <br /> over 42" in the average lakeshore setback and prohibits fences within 75' of Lake Minnetonka (see <br /> attached fence handout). <br /> Therefore,the City must require you to remove any portion of the fence in the 75' setback zone and <br /> reduce the height of the fence to 42" in the average lakeshore setback zone. The average lakeshore <br /> setback is defined as a line drawn between the most lakeward protrusions of the neighbars residence <br /> and the most lakeward protrusions of your residence. <br /> Please bring the fence into compliance before 3/15/99. If this deadline is not met the City may <br /> initiate legal action.
