MINUTES OF THE ORONO CITY COUNCIL MEETING Tuesday ,1 May 29, 2007 • 7:00 o'clock p.m. r 1 LJ ROLL CALL The Orono City Council met on the above - mentioned date with the following members present: Mayor James White, Council Members Lih McMillan, Jim Murphy, Cynthia Bremer, and David Rahn. Representing Staff were City Administrator Ron I hoorse, Planning Director Mike Gaffron, City Attorney Soren Mattick, City Engineer Tom Kellogg, and Recorder Jackie Young. Mayor White called the meeting to order at 7:03 p.m., followed by the Pledge of Allegiance. CONSENT AGENDA i Item Nos. 9 through 18 were added to the Consent Agenda and Item No. 2 was taken off of the Consent Agenda. j Murphy moved, Rahn seconded, to approve Nays 0. APPROVAL OF MINUTES 2. REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING White requested the minutes under the Mayor/C, speaking with the County regarding some grants Consent Agenda as amended. VOTE: Ayes 5, Y 14, 2007 ;il report be corrected to read that he had been the dock on Big Island. Bremer moved, McMillan seconded, to approve the minutes of the May 14, 2007, City Council meeting as amended. VOTE: Ayes 5, Nays 0. 7:10 P.M. — HRA MEETING This item followed the adjournment of the City PLANNING COMMISSION COMMENTS — F meeting. KEMPF Kempf stated he had nothing to report but would be available for questions. Murphy thanked him for sending the Council the Kempf stated the driveway on the corner of Brack consists of concrete block with open spaces in it. work in other situations but that it is something to of the driveways. s Point has two strips of concrete and the center npf stated he is unsure how that driveway would isider in an effort to reduce hardcover. White commented the Council did review a plan recently where the driveway was originally proposed as two strips of hard surface and grass in the middle but was then later revised to be all blacktop. • 1
