• <br />• <br />r1 <br />U <br />MINUTES OF THE <br />ORONO CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br />Monday, October 27,2008 <br />7:00 O'clock p.m. <br />(7. #08 -3382 BOB RITTER ON BEHALF <br />PARKWAY, Continued) <br />Turner stated it was the understanding-of Staff at <br />completed at the time the lot to the east is develo <br />Bremer commented she would like the trail to be <br />BERKSHIRE PARTNERS, LLP, 2745 KELLEY <br />time this was written that the trail would be <br />at the same time on both lots. <br />Murphy asked what the disadvantage would be if the trail was constructed prior to the other lot being <br />developed. <br />Turner stated they would need to work with the property owner of the other lot on the trail. <br />Murphy noted the Council is in agreement that there should be a trail along Kelly. <br />Bob Ritter stated to his understanding the trail is actually located along Highway 12 and that he does not <br />envision a large number of people utilizing the trail. <br />Murphy stated it was his understanding the trail was going to be along the pond and then up Kelly. <br />i <br />Turner illustrated the location of the proposed trail on the overhead. <br />Bremer asked when the location of the trail was <br />Gaffron noted there is a trail that is located on the east side of Crystal Bay Road, a trail that goes along <br />Kelly Parkway, and then a trail alongside the pond, which consists of a trail and a sidewalk next to each <br />other. At the intersection the trail was going to stay along Highway 12, go around the pond, past the bank <br />building, and up to Willow Drive. <br />Bremer stated she would like to leave the language as is and discuss the trail at a later time when they are <br />able to construct the trail along the entire stretch. <br />McMillan stated this is one of the few areas in the City where there is a developed bike trail and that she <br />does not want to see the trail overlooked down the road and not get constructed. <br />Turner stated the language "at a mutually agreeable time" comes from the development agreement with <br />Ryan. <br />Gaffron indicated once the third lot is developed, another portion of the trail could be constructed, and <br />that it would be logical to wait until the trail can bye completed in its entirety rather than construct a <br />portion that dead -ends. <br />Murphy moved, White seconded, to adopt RE; <br />Development Plan Approval for Planned Unit <br />a Building Permit for Orono Professional Ceni <br />LUTION NO. 5783, a Resolution Granting Final <br />velopment No. 3B and Approving the Issuance of <br />H.
