MINUTES OF THE ORONO CITY COUNCIL MEETING Monday, March 10, 2008 • 7:00 'clock p.m. • • ROLL The Orono City Council met on the above- ment'oned date with the following members present: Mayor James White, Council Members Jim Murphy, Cynthia Bremer, and David Rahn; City Attorney Soren Mattick. Representing Staff were City Administrator Ron Moorse, Assistant City Administrator for Long -Term Strategy Mike Gaffron, Planning', and Zoning Coordinator Melanie Curtis, Planner Evelyn Turner, City Engineer Tom Kellogg, and' Recorder Jackie Young. Mayor White called the meeting to order at CONSENT AGENDA Item Nos. 11, 12, and 13 were added to the Bremer moved, Murphy seconded, to 4, Nays 0. APPROVAL OF MINUTES *2. REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING .m., followed by the Pledge of Allegiance. Agenda. the Consent Agenda as amended. VOTE: Ayes FEBRUARY 25, 2008 Bremer moved, Murphy seconded, to approve the minutes of the February 25, 2008, City Council meeting as submitted. VOTE: Ayes 4, Nays 0. RECOGNITIONS AND DONATIONS 3. RETIREMENT OF POLICE 5729 The Orono City Council acknowledged the of behalf of the community for the past 30 years BRUCE ANDERSON — RESOLUTION NO. iding work Officer Bruce Anderson performed on as part of the Citizens Police Academy. White moved, Murphy seconded, to adopt RESOLUTION NO. 5729, a Resolution Recognizing Officer Bruce Anderson for his Thirty Years of Dedicated Service to the City of Orono as Police Officer. RECOGNITION OF RESERVE POLICE OFFICER TED WESTERDAHL — RESOLUTION NO. 5728 1 The Orono City Council acknowledged the outstanding work Officer Ted Westerdahl performed on behalf of the Orono community for the past 32 !ears. Murphy moved, Rahn seconded, to adopt RESOLUTION NO. 5728, a Resolution Recognizing Reserve Officer Ted Westerdahl for his Thirty -two Years of Dedicated Service to the City of Orono as Reserve Police Officer.
