MINUTES OF THE
ORONO PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING
Tuesday,January 22,2008
6:00 o'clock p.m.
(Other Issues for Discussion, Continued)
Curtis asked whether the Planning Commission prefers an alternate date and time for work sessions.
Curtis indicated the City Council would like to schedule a joint work session with the Planning
Commission.
Curtis noted Staff does pay particular attention to the grading and drainage issues on every application
and that the application will not be forwarded to the City Council until those issues have been resolved
to the satisfaction of the City Engineer. Unless there are major changes to the plans, it is not necessary
to bring the application back to the Planning Commission.
Curtis stated Staff would also like to discuss zoning code amendments at work sessions and hopefully
include those on the Consent Agenda unless there is public opposition to them.
Curtis introduced Christine Mattson, the City's new planning assistant,to the Planning Commissioners.
It was the consensus of the Planning Commission to leave the work sessions scheduled as is.
9.
