Rahn suggested the applicant work with Staff and consider constructing . <br /> a multi-tier wall. . <br /> Marzan stated he appreciates the comments of the Planning Commission. <br /> Bremer stated there are plenty of good examples of similar type retaining walls with screening that work <br /> well in this area and that the applicant should perhaps consider doing something similar.Bremer stated <br /> she does not feel that two of these large sized walls are in the applicant's best interests, especially given <br /> the fact that the applicant has small children. Bremer stated she would like to see at least three tiers. <br /> Marzan stated this has been a learning experience for him. Marzan stated the existing stairway has to be <br /> removed and asked whether he would be allowed to construct a wall in the area of the stairs. Marzan <br /> staetd the area to the right should also be addressed. <br /> Rahn stated the City Engineer basically would review the plans that are submitted by the applicant and <br /> determine whether they will work properly. <br /> Marzan stated they would be back with an alternative plan. <br /> Rahn moved,Kempf seconded,to table Application#06-3243,North Shore Gardens on behalf of <br /> Richard Marzan,2795 Pheasant Road,to allow the applicant time to revise his plans. <br /> VOTE: Ayes 4,Nays 0. <br /> (Recess taken at 8:57 p.m.—9:04 p.m.) <br /> 6. 06-3245 SHARRATT/MANEY FOR LAURENCE AND ARDELL JONES,3605 NORTH <br /> SHORE DRIVE,9:04—9:23 P.M. <br /> Mike Maney,Applicant,was present. <br /> Turner stated the applicant is requesting the following variances to construct a second story and attached <br /> garage to the existing residence: <br /> 1. A lakeshore setback of 52.8 feet when 75 feet is required; <br /> 2. A street setback of 19.97 feet when 30 feet is required; <br /> 3. A structural lot coverage of 18.77 percent when 15 percent is allowed; <br /> 4. A 16 percent hardcover in the 0-75 foot zone when none is allowed; <br /> 5.
