REPORT OF PLANNING COMMISSION REPRESENTATIVES ATTENDING <br /> COUNCIL MEETINGS MARCH 27 AND APRIL 10,2006 <br /> Jurgens reported on the March 27'j' City Council meeting, noting the industrial standards ordinance was <br /> approved. Jurgens gave a brief update on the other applications heard by the Council that evening. <br /> Jurgens noted the Narrows Saloon application was approved on a vote of 3-2,with the rear smokers' patio <br /> being reduced. <br /> Jurgens reported on the April 10`" City Council meeting. Jurgens noted that Broitzman has retained an <br /> architect and that the plans have been revised considerably. <br /> Gaffron stated the Broitzman application would be back before the Council on Monday and that he <br /> anticipates Staff being directed to draft an approval resolution. <br /> Jurgens stated there was a perception based on the discussion regarding the Mikkelson application that <br /> there is something lacking in the City's codes that gives specific direction to Staff regarding what <br /> constitutes a rebuild versus a remodel. <br /> 9. OTHER ISSUES FOR DISCUSSION <br /> Gaffron noted a work session has been scheduled for the first Monday in May, with the accessory <br /> structure ordinance being on the agenda. <br /> 10. PLANNING COMMISSION APPROVAL OF MINUTES FOR MARCH 20,2006 <br /> Rahn moved, Jurgens seconded, to approve the minutes of the Orono Planning Commission <br /> meeting of March 20,2006, as submitted.
