� MIlVUTES OF THE <br /> ORONO PLAN1vING COMMISSION MEETING <br /> Monday,April 16,2007 • <br /> • 6:00 o'clock p.m. <br /> (#07-3285 Robbin and Kristine Johnson,Continued) <br /> • 3. Is there an appropriate location for the building that would satisfy the separation and other <br /> zoning code requirements? There is a wetland area between Bracketts Point Road and the pool <br /> � area that precludes placing the building toward between the pool and the road. <br /> 4. What is the appropriate level of hardcover? The applicants have indicated they are willing to <br /> remove some of the patio that wraps around the south side of the house. The original plans did not have <br /> the walkway extending across the center portion of the lakeside of the house,but since there is a door in <br /> the middle of the curved wall and on the north end,it seems reasonable to allow it to remain. <br /> Planning Staff recommends approval with conditions. <br /> Johnson stated they are agreeable to bringing the hardcover back into compliance on the lot. Johnson <br /> noted there are pilings that have been utilized. <br /> Kroeger noted there is a fairly recently built pad on the site and inquired whether that is included in the <br /> . hardcover figures. � <br /> 4 <br /> Johnson stated it has been included in the numbers. <br /> Kempf noted Staff had expressed a concern regarding kids climbing on top of the building and jumping <br /> off. Kempf stated the railing gives kids the ability to climb up on top of the railing and then access the <br /> lower roof. Kempf suggested the deck not be extended that far. <br /> Johnson stated they are considering turning the stairs. \ <br /> Kempf requested the railing be relocated away from the lower roofline. <br /> Kang moved,Zullo seconded,to recommend approval of Application#07-3285,Robbin and <br /> Kristine Johnson, 1280 Bracketts Point Road,granting of a hardcover variance and structure <br /> separation variance,requiring a four foot separation,subject to removal of the excess hardcover <br /> on the lot. VOTE: Ayes 6,Nays 0. <br /> PLANNING COMNIISSION COMMENTS <br /> 14. REPORT OF PLANNING COMMISSION REPRESENTATIVES�ATTENDING <br /> COUNCIL MEETINGS MARCH 26,2007 AND APRIL 9,2007 . <br /> There were no reports given due to the absence of the representatives attending the meetings. <br /> PAGE 38 <br />
