Unfortunately as you will notice the deck is the only thing in our <br /> 0-75' that I would consider to still be iii"good" condition. It also apparently was also the <br /> main focus for the design of the existing stair system that leads directly to it. <br /> We have decided that if we are going to take on the unplanned expense of removing the <br /> deck with a Restoration Plan that we should correct all of the issues in our 0-75' zone. <br /> Our intent is to comply with all the City of Orono's requirements and stabilize the hill for <br /> the environment. <br /> Below you will find a list of details of what we have decided to address along with an <br /> explanation(I have included numbered pictures to aid in viewing these issues): <br /> 1)Existing stair/deck design- Stairs were designed to flow up to the deck <br /> 2)Existing stairs and railing should be replaced <br /> 3)Picture of existing stairs -Runoffunder stairs is eroding and washing into the lake <br /> 4) Top�iew of all hardcover to be removed (deck, existing stairs and planters) <br /> 5)Lake view of existing stump, retaining wall and planter <br /> 6)Pictures of existing stairs—They are in need of replacement <br /> 7) Top view of existing deck/stair design . <br /> 8)Existing stump to be removed will require retaining wall (Letter to Matt Boltermann at <br /> the City of Orono is enclosed) <br /> 9) Top view of e�sting retaining wall that is splitting <br /> Please do not hesitate to call if you have any questions or if I can provide any additional <br /> information. <br /> , Thanlcs, <br /> �,��_ � <br /> Glenn Solie <br /> 612-308-9378 <br />
