I am enclosing 3 items for the application as follows:a revised
2001 Master Site plan,sheet A-000;the 2001 Record Set Existing Survey,sheet A-001, and the 2001 Record Set
Landscape drawings, sheets L-100 through L-702.We hope this enclosed information for the application showing
the original landscape and civil design completes the application.
When the 2001 project for the Minnetonka Center for the Arts new building was originally reviewed by the City of
Orono Planning Commission the site plans showed the Ceramics and Sculpture Courtyards and the Wood Kiln on
the south side of the building. The enclosed sheet A-000 shows the location of these elements, items 5 and 6, as
they where located in the 2001 review along with the revised building design without the"tower",which was
eliminated during that planning review. After planning review, for budgetary concerns, the construction of the Wood
Kiln was postponed, but the Ceramics courtyard remained for the future construction of the Wood Kiln that is
currently being submitted for review. The other site elements in this area including the plantings, rainwater garden
and pond, and sidewalk to the courtyard were also constructed.
The enclosed sheet A-001 is the Existing Survey with the description of the property from the 2001 Record Set.
The enclosed sheets L-100 through L-702 are the 2001 Record Set landscape and civil drawings. These contain
the 2001 Existing Conditions Plan L-100, Site Removal Plan L-200, Site Layout and Materials Plan L-300,
Surfacing Plan L-301,Grading and Storm water Plan L-400, Erosion Control Plan L-401, Utility Plan L-500, Planting .
and Seeding Plan L-600, Plant Schedule and Notes L-601, Site Details L-700, L-701, and L-702. The design in
these drawings make accommodation for the Ceramics Courtyard shown in the Master Site plan and for eventual
construction of the Wood Kiln being submitted.
Regards,
Patrick Regan,
James Dayton Design
Encl:A-000, A-001, Li 00-L702
