MINUTES OF THE ' 4 <br />ORONO CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br />Monday, May 10, 2004 <br />7:00 o'clock p.m. <br />*8. Accept Resignation of Pauline Bouchard from the Park Commission • <br />Murphy moved, McMillan seconded, to accept the Resignation of Pauline Bouchard from the <br />Park Commission and to authorize initiating a process to fill the Park Commission vacancy. <br />VOTE: Ayes 4, Nays 0. <br />*9. Navarre Municipal Parking Lot — 2 Hour Limit — Resolution No. 5175 <br />Murphy moved, McMillan seconded, to adopt RESOLUTION NO. 5175 to authorize and direct <br />the Orono Public Works Department to install signs indicating "2 Hour Parking" in the <br />Navarre Municipal Parking Lot for the 3 parking spaces on the north side of the lot adjacent to <br />the Lyric Avenue parking lot entrance. <br />VOTE: Ayes 4, Nays 0. <br />*10. Wetland Buffer Declaration for Big Island Access Lane <br />Murphy moved, McMillan seconded, to approve of the Minnehaha Creek Watershed District <br />Wetland Buffer Declaration and authorizing the Permanent taking of Land by Eminent <br />Domain for Drainage and Utilities. <br />VOTE: Ayes 4, Nays 0. <br />CITY ADMINISTRATOR'S REPORT • <br />*11. Appoint Planning Commission Alternates <br />Murphy moved, McMillan seconded, to appoint Liz Hawn and Sandra Smith as alternate <br />members of the Planning Commission. <br />VOTE: Ayes 4, Nays 0. <br />*12. Appoint Official City Representative for Big Island Veteran's Camp Issues <br />Murphy moved, McMillan seconded, to designate Gabriel Jabbour as an official representative <br />of the city concerning the Big Island Vets' Camp issues. <br />VOTE: Ayes 4, Nays 0. <br />*13. Long Lake Fire Department Budget Amendment <br />Murphy moved, McMillan seconded, to approve the amendment to the 2004 Long Lake Fire <br />Department budget to reallocate $15,000 from the Training Pay budget item to the Pension <br />Contribution budget item. <br />VOTE: Ayes 4, Nays 0. <br />is <br />Page 4 of 7 <br />
