The costs of <br /> that project were assessed to benefitting properties partially based on front footage and partially on a unit basis. All <br /> properties in the project area were assessed for front footage regardless of buildable status and regardless of whether <br /> they contained a residence at that time. The footage charge was assessed at a rate of$7.80 per front foot. Properties <br /> with existing residences were also assessed an additional unit charge of$1270.00 per unit. Your property (Lot 9, Skarp <br /> and Lindquist's Fernhill Lake Mtka, aka PINS #07-117-23 14 0029; Plat/parcel No. 43240-1800) per Levy No. 05832 was <br /> assessed $390 based on 50-feet of footage along Elmwood Avenue. The unit charge was not assessed and would be due <br /> and payable at a rate per current (2013) fee schedule in the amount of$13,070 per unit. This would be due when you <br /> obtain the building permit. I've attached various documents relating to this charge. <br /> Also be aware that a Metropolitan Council Sewer Availability Charge (SAC) of $2,435 would be due at the time of <br /> building permit issuance. This is a pass-through charge established by the Met Council and collected by the City for each <br /> new sewer connection. <br /> You asked about the building permit fee—attached is a copy of the 2013 Building Permit Fee Schedule. Fee is based on <br /> valuation of the construction.
