MINUTES OF THE TRUTH IN TAXATION HEARING <br />HELD AT 5:30 P.M. ON MONDAY, DECEMBER 1, 2003 <br />IN THE ORONO COUNCIL CHAMBERS <br />Members Present: Council Members McMillan, Sansevere and White <br />Staff Present: City Administrator Ron Moorse, Finance Director Tom Kuehn <br />Acting Mayor Sansevere call the meeting to order at 5:35 p.m. Acting Mayor Sansevere <br />opened the hearing and indicated the hearing was an opportunity for citizens to ask <br />questions and provide comments regarding the proposed budget and tax levy for 2004. <br />Bill Stubbs indicated he did not have any concerns regarding the proposed budget or tax <br />levy; however, he had a question regarding the valuation of his property at 185 Old <br />Crystal Bay Road North. The Truth in Taxation notice he recently received indicated that <br />his market value had increased by $91,000. The Truth in Taxation notice also indicated <br />the zoning of the property to be "industrial preferred ". <br />Acting Mayor Sansevere indicated that City staff would contact the Assessor to follow up <br />regarding the increased property value. Mr. Stubbs indicated he would follow up with the <br />Assessor. <br />There being no further public comments, Acting Mayor Sansevere closed the hearing. <br />Council Member White moved, Council Member McMillan seconded, the <br />• announcement that the 2004 budget and tax levy will be adopted at a hearing to be <br />held at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, December 8, 2003. Vote: 3 Ayes, 0 Nays. <br />ADJOURNMENT <br />Council Member White moved, Council Member McMillan seconded, that the <br />meeting be adjourned at 5:53 p.m. Vote: 3 Ayes, 0 Nays. <br />ATTEST: <br />Linda S.
