TPI approved connectors, 20 ga. galvanized plates <br /> sized for member forces. Provide lateral bracing of web members as <br /> required. <br /> 5. LVL's including Micro-lams & Parallams to be installed according to <br /> � manuf. recomm. & as shown; nail layers w/ two rows of nails as recomm. <br /> LVL material shall be Louisiana Pacific Gang Lam, 3100 Fb or equal. <br /> Glulams to be combination 24F, Architectural Grade, individually <br /> wrapped for shipping. <br /> 6. Plywood to conform to U.S. Products Standards PSI-74. All sheathing <br /> APA rated exposure I. Nail all sheathing 6" o.c. at panel edges & 12" o.c. at <br /> intermediate supports w/ 8d nails & stagger joints, refer to drawings for <br /> special nailing. See Section 0195 for materials. Ox-board sheathing used <br /> for walls or roof, same as above. <br /> 7. Exterior/interior finish wood, all wood properly kiln-dryed, verify <br /> moisture content, see Section 0195 for species. <br /> 8. Baffles - Provide insulation baffles for continuous positive air flow at roof <br /> rafters & trusses, as noted. <br /> 3.1 Execution <br /> 1. All decking, fascia, & running millwork boards laid end to end shall have <br /> scarf type joint. All nails for exterior areas shall be twice not-dipped <br /> galvanized nails w/ primer matching wood color. Use galvanized finish <br /> head nails where appearance is critical. Use non-corrosive screws for <br /> decking boards. <br /> 2. All non-interlocking vertical & horizontal siding & trim joints shall be <br /> caulked, color to match siding color. <br /> 3. Kerf boards laying on horiz. surfaces & where exposed to weather, & trim <br /> boards over 6". <br /> 4. Store wood where no moisture can be transferred, & verify proper <br /> moisture content before installation. <br /> 5. Use nailing patterns as recomm. by Cedar & Redwood Manuf. & <br /> Organizations & Calif. Redwood Assoc. <br /> 6. All exposed finish trim & siding cuts to be w/ hollow ground planer blade <br /> or planed. <br /> Section 0640 - Millwork/Cabinet Work <br /> 1.1 co e - Work includes providing all millmade wood items & plastic laminate <br /> surfaced items, synthetic solid counter tops & surfaces & other work as <br /> required.
