2.1 Products <br /> 1. All concrete block shall be autoclave & cured & manufactured from sand - <br /> gravel - aggregate conforming to ASTM C33. <br /> 2. Concrete block, hollow load-bearing units, ASTM C90, Grade U - 1, <br /> f'm = 1,350 psi. <br /> , 3. Core fill for vertically reinforced masonry walls shall be mixed in <br /> proportions by volume - 1 Portland Cement; 2 1/2 Fine Aggregate; 2 Pea <br /> Gravel. Locate vertical reinforcing as shown in drawings. <br /> 4. Accessories - provide all required anchors, ties, straps suitable non-ferrous, <br /> non-corrosive brick & stone anchors (per UBC), control joint fillers, rope <br /> wick & weep holes, core drains, etc. <br /> 5. Flashing - provide flexible sheet flashing as shown & required, by <br /> Nervastral, Seal-Pruf HD; head & sill flashing install in accordance w/ <br /> manuf. spec. #3533-2; spandrel flashing, spec. #3532C. <br /> 6. Rope weeps - 24" o.c. in vertical joints unless noted otherwise. <br /> 7. Bond beams - fill w/ 3000 psi concrete. <br /> 3.1 Execution <br /> 1. Cold weather protection - install in accordance w/ the International <br /> Masonry Ind. All-Weather Council - "Recomm. Practices & Guide Spec. <br /> for Cold Weather Masonry Construction - 84"; & maintain an air temp. <br /> above 40° F on both sides of the masonry for at least 24 hours after <br /> masonry work is completed. <br /> 2. Install anchors, flashing, weep holes as noted & required. <br /> 3. Use Dur-o-wall at alternate courses as noted, or required. <br /> 4. Work shall be in conformance w/ highest Ind. Standards & National <br /> Concrete Masonry Assoc. <br /> Section 0550 - Miscellaneous Metal <br /> 1.1 co e - Work includes structural steel beams, angles, tubes, plates, etc. <br /> required in masonry & framing work. Refer to Sections 0195 & 0570. <br /> 2.1 Products <br /> 1. Steel - hot rolled mild steel 0.15% to 0.25% carbon range. For structural <br /> steel, provide ASTM A36-70. <br /> 2. All metal to have red zinc chromate primer except where galvanized <br /> metal is called for. Hop dipped galvanized in accordance with ASTM <br /> A153 & A123. Provide primer compatible for galvanized material. <br /> 3. Steel Tubing - Cold-formed, ASTM A500; or hot-rolled ASTM A501. <br /> 4. Steel plates, Shapes & Bars - hot-rolled, ASTM A36. <br /> 5. Provide concealed fasteners where possible or counter sunk flat head type, <br /> finish to match. <br /> 6. Non-shrink non-metalic grout shall comply w/ CE CRD C621, install as <br /> 20 <br />
