3.1 Execution <br /> 1. Cold weather protection - ACI 306-66. <br /> 2. Hot weather protection - ACI 605-59. <br /> 3. Curing temp. for Type I Portland Cement - 70° for first 72 hours & 50° for <br /> the next 3 days & in accordance w/ Article 1201 of ACI 301-66. <br /> 4. Construction & control joints - Locate joints to ensure proper performance <br /> of concrete w/ expansion joints between horizontal slab & vertical wall <br /> intersections, & as required for horizontal movement, & locate all joints <br /> as shown. <br /> 5. Troweled Finish - All exposed slabs unless noted otherwise. <br /> 6. Floated Finish - Slabs to receive mortar bed for tile & exterior slabs. <br /> Section 0335 - Colored Concrete <br /> 1.1 co e - Work includes colored patio slab, stair, landing, &walk, See Section <br /> 0195 & 0330 & Alternates. <br /> 1.2 Standards - Work to be performed in strict accordance w/ manuf. recomm <br /> standards, by workers experienced w/ colored concrete. <br /> 1.3 Submittals - Submit sample of colored concrete showing finish & color to be <br /> used as standard for project. <br /> 2.1 Products <br /> 1. Concrete Coloring System - L.M. Scofield Co., Chromix Admixtures for <br /> color conditioned concrete, A-312.06. color integrally mixed into concrete <br /> for full color penetration thruout, color to be selected. <br /> 2. Curing & Finish-coating - L.M. Scofield, Color Cure Concrete Sealer, <br /> pigmented seal w/ color to match, water base; apply w/ airless sprayer <br /> immediately after pouring concrete. <br /> 3. Caulking - all expansion joints as req.; Lithochrome Colorcalk in matching <br /> color, provide 3/8" filler rod as required. <br /> 4. Provide L.M. Scofield Lithochrome, dry-shake, color hardener w/ <br /> ol Lithochrome Color Cure Concrete Sealer, color to match on accent slab <br /> areas as shown. <br /> 3.1 Execution <br /> 1. All work to be performed by experienced colored concrete workers & <br /> accord. to manuf recomm. for all products. <br /> 2. All adjacent work shall be protected by covering & masking during <br /> pouring & finishing work. <br /> 3. Separate slab from all house elements w/ color caulk expansion joints. <br /> 4.
