The city shall assign numbers in accordance with the standard plan adopted by <br /> the city and shall approve and assign all street names by action of the council. <br /> (c) Unlawfu/act. It is a misdemeanor for any person to fail to comply with the provisions of subsection (a) of <br /> this section or to post numbers other than the correct city-assigned numbers.
