• <br />t VILLAGE OF ORONO <br />Regular Meeting of the Village Council, <br />,'anua.ry ?2, 1968 <br />• The Village Council met on the above date <br />• with the following members present: Mayor <br />Ross, Councilmen Butterfield, Franzel, <br />• Searles, and Stubbs. <br />• <br />The following appeared: Mrs. D. Winton, <br />• Mrs. P. Wysocky, Messrs. L. Reed and <br />• G. Hager representing a Citizens <br />Committee on behalf of a proposal for <br />• the formation of a Human Rights Commission. <br />Franzel moved, Searles seconded, that the <br />• Human Rights proposal presented by the <br />Citizens Committee be accepted for <br />• further study by the Village and <br />• Attorney, the Council being in agreement <br />with the basic concepts of the Committee <br />and the Human Rights Commission. Motion, <br />Ayes (5) - Nays (0) . <br />• Searles moved Franzel seconded, that the <br />request of Graydon McCulley for a <br />• Division at 4605 Watertown Road, be <br />referred to the Planning Commission for <br />review and recommendation. Motion, <br />Ayes (5) - Nays (0). <br />• Butterfield moved, Searles seconded, that <br />the low bid of $2,050, with trade, for <br />a Police Patrol Car, be awarded to <br />• Scherven Chevrolet Spring Park. Motion, <br />• Ayes (5) - Nays (05. <br />• Searles moved, Stubbs seconded, that the <br />• bid of $3,755 for a Public Service <br />Radio System, be awarded to Motorola <br />• Communications, Inc. Minneapolis. Motion, <br />Ayes (5) - Nays (0). <br />• <br />• Butterfield moved, Searles seconded, that <br />• the bids, except deleting item 14 -C, <br />for 1968 Road Materials be awarded to <br />• low bidders.
