WHEREAS, Edward C. Brown (hereinafter "the applicant") <br /> is the owner of the property located at 355 Stubbs Bay Road North <br /> within the City of Orono (hereinafter "City" ) and legally <br /> described as follows: <br /> Exhibit "A" attached, (hereinafter "the property"); and <br /> WHEREAS, the applicant�;jhas applied� to the City for a <br /> , variance to Municipal Zoning Code Section 10.'03, Subdivision 9(D) <br /> , to permit the construction of a detached garage to be located <br /> nearer the front lot line than the principal structure on the <br /> property, where no accessory structures are normally allowed. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Counci 1 of <br /> Orono, Minnesota: � <br /> FINDINGS <br /> l. This application was reviewed as Zoning File #1423. <br /> 2. The property is located in the RR-lA Single Family Rural <br /> Residential Zoning District. <br /> 3. The property is 10.0 acres in area. <br /> 4. The Orono Planning Commission reviewed this application <br /> on June 19 , 1989 , and recommended approval of the proposed <br /> variance based upon the following findings: <br /> a. The proposed garage will not be visible from , <br /> neighboring properties due to screening by existing <br /> vegetation on the property. <br /> • b.
