L a t � <br /> _ Cit� of ORONO <br /> • RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> � <br /> � NO. 2628 <br /> • - • • <br /> A RESOLDTION GRANTING <br /> VARIANCES TO <br /> • MONICIPAL ZONING CODE <br /> SECTIONS 10.22, SIIBDIVISIONS 1 � 2, <br /> 10.25, SIIBDIVISION 6 (B) , AND <br /> 10.55, SIIBDIVISION 8 <br /> FILE #1261 <br /> ' WHEREAS, Joe and Sandy Rauschendorfer (hereinafter "the <br /> applicants") are the owners of the property located at 3895 <br /> Shoreline Drive within the City of Orono (hereinafter "City") and <br /> legally described as follows: <br /> Exhibit A attached, (hereinaf.ter "the property"); and <br /> WHEREAS, the applicants have applied to the City for <br /> variances .�to Municipal Zoning Code Section 10.22, Subdivision 1 <br /> and Section 10.55, Subdivision 8 to allow construction of a new <br /> • foundation under� the existing house and a new attached garage <br /> addition, both located less than 75' from the shoreline of Lake <br /> Minnetonka �where a 75' setback is normally required, and a <br /> variance to Section 10.22, Subdivision 2 to allow hardcover in <br /> the 0-75' and 75-250' lakeshore zones in excess of the hardcover <br /> amounts normally aI lowed in those zones, and variances to Section <br /> 10.25, Subdivision 6 (B) to allow a side yard setback of 4.6' to <br /> - the west side Iot Iine and 3' �to the east side Iot Iine where 10' <br /> side lot Iine setbacks are normally required, and to a1low a 7' <br /> street setback where a 30' street setback is normal ly required. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Counci I of <br /> Orono, Minnesota: <br /> FINDINGS <br /> 1. � This appl.ication was reviewed as Zoning File #1261. <br /> 2. The property is Iocated in .the LR-1C Single Family <br /> Lakeshore Residential Zoning District. <br /> 3. The Orono Planning Commission reviewed this app Iication <br />. on March 20, 1989, and recommended approval of the hardcover <br /> variance subject to hardcover not exceeding pre-existing <br /> square footages of hardcover on the property, recommended <br /> approval of the foundation replacement under the existing <br /> • house, and recommended that the garage addition be no closer <br /> than 10' to the west Iot Iine. <br /> Page 1 of 6 <br />
