MINUTES OF THE <br /> ORONO PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING <br /> Tuesday,January 17,2006 <br /> 6:00 o'clock p.m. <br /> (#06-3174 KEVIN AND SUELLYN TRITZ, CONTINUED) <br /> Bremer moved,Winkey seconded,to recommend approval of Application#06-3174,Kevin and <br /> Suellyn Tritz, 1056 Loma Linda Avenue,granting of a hardcover variance to permit 55 percent <br /> hardcover within the 75'-250' zone and the granting of a structural coverage variance to permit <br /> 18.6 percent structural coverage, subject to the removal of a 3' by 3' concrete pad located in the <br /> 0-75' zone and also subject to the removal of 350 square feet of hardcover located anywhere on the <br /> property,with preference for the removal of hardcover in the 0-75' zone; and to recommend denial <br /> of the rear/street yard setback variance with the understanding the new second story addition will <br /> be no greater than 14 feet from the existing roofline of the existing second story,with the garage <br /> roofline remaining as is. VOTE: Ayes 5,Nays 0 <br /> Bremer recommended the applicant submit a revised plan at least one week priar to the City Council <br /> meeting and a plan outlining the hardcover removals. <br /> PLANNING COMMISSION COMMENTS <br /> 12. REPORT OF PLANNING COMMISSION REPRESENTATIVES ATTENDING <br /> COUNCIL MEETINGS DECEMBER 12, 2005 AND JANUARY 9,2006 <br /> Jurgens stated he attended the December 12`h City Council meeting and reported that both applications <br /> from Bohland Development were reviewed and tabled at that time. Jurgens stated the City Council were <br /> not in support of the amount of massing being proposed for the Willow site and the amount of�11 that <br /> would be necessary to raise up the level of the road. Jurgens stated there were also discussions relating to <br /> the wetlands and the amount of vegetation proposed to be removed. <br /> Jurgens stated on the other Bohland application Council Member McMillan had raised a concern with <br /> giving approval to septic on lots less than two acres in size without having the appropriate code language <br /> in place prior to the approval. <br /> 13. OTHER ISSUES FOR DISCUSSION <br /> None <br /> 14. PLANNING COMMISSION APPROVAL OF MINUTES FOR NOVEMBER 21,2005 <br /> Bremer moved,Jurgens seconded,to approve the minutes of the November 21,2005 <br /> Planning Commission meeting as submitted.
