I have received a complaint regarding burning on your pro ert .
The City of Orono does require a permit to open burn, even in a fire ring. I p y
inspected the property on September 8, 2005 and found the burn pit/ring made of /
stone at the end of your patio. Even though this does not meet the recommended
setbacks of the permit, I would normally permit the site because it is a pit/ring.
The complainant states that when you burn, the smoke comes in through the
windows and she has to shut them. I am enclosing an application for a burnin
permit. I will allow the burn pit/ring in its present location as long as I do notg
receive anymore complaints. I would think it might help the situation if you did
not burn when it is windy or perhaps discuss the matter with the neighbors to hel
rectify their concerns. I want to thank you in advance for your cooperation. p
Sincerely,
Willie Gibbs R.S.
Inspector
Telephone(952)249-4600 • Fax(952)249-4616
www.ci.orono.mn.us
