December 8, 2006
Mark Schuehle
26745 Edgewood Rd
Shorewood, MN 55331
Suncrest Builders, Inc. Attn: Grant Johnson
6563 Bartlett Rd.
Mound, MN 55364
Re: MCWD Permit# 06-261: 2445 Dunwoody Ave
Dear Mr. Schuehle:
During routine inspections by the Minnehaha Creek Watershed District (MCWD) staff at the above
mentioned location, the following violations of permit#06-261 were observed and recorded on
December 1, 2006:
• SF missing/falling down along north side of site.
• Slope failure along back of site, resulting in full silt fence.
The MCWD requests that the permit holder take the following action:
• Maintain and install silt fencing to MCWD specifications until disturbed soils are vegetated.
Install silt fences in the front of each site, on all downhill slopes and around stockpiles. Silt
fence must be trenched in 6 inches and installed according to instructions.
• Reinstall silt fence along north side of site; alternatively, install permanent stabilization, such as
sod.
• Pull back dirt from silt fence along lake and reconstruct slope.
The root structures of the shrubs in back are not yet fully established. To stabilize the slope
erosion control blanket, properly installed and staked in, may be appropriate. To avoid formal
enforcement action from the Minnehaha Creek Watershed District which may include fees for
additional inspections and legal costs, report to the MN Department of Commerce for possible
violation of license terms, and the delivery of a Stop Work Order, please implement the above
mentioned corrections by Wednesday, December 13. Thank you for your immediate attention to
this matter, if you have any questions please call me at(952)471-0590 ext. 210.
Sincerely,
Nathaniel Kale
District Representative
Enclosure: Copy of Site Inspection Form
Cc: Lyle Oman
