• <br />and <br />City of ORONO <br />RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br />NO. 2543 <br />RESOLUTION OF COMMENDATION FOR <br />MICHAEL [IRNYCZU[ <br />WHEREAS, the City of Orono is a municipal corporation; <br />WHEREAS, the City of Orono has established a Police <br />Department by ordinance; and <br />WHEREAS, Michael Kirnyczuk joined the Orono Police <br />Department on February 15, 1980, having previously served with <br />the Hibbing Police Department from November of 19714 until <br />November of 1977, and the Crosby Police Department from March of <br />1978 until February of 1980; and <br />WHEREAS, Officer Michael Kirnyczuk served with <br />distinction, receiving commendations for his work from citizens <br />as well as the department; and <br />• WHEREAS, Officer Michael Kirnyczuk answered an alarm <br />call on February 13, 1987 on North Farm Road in Orono. Officer <br />Kirnyczuk went to the rear of the house, fell on ice on an <br />incline, breaking his left ankle in three places. The alarm call <br />was found to be false; and <br />WHEREAS, Officer Michael Kirnyczuk has to resign <br />effective October 3, 1988 as a result of this injury. <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of <br />the City of Orono recognize the excellent work of Officer Michael <br />Kirnyczuk and wish him well in his new endeavors. <br />Adopted by the City Council of the City of Orono, <br />Minneaota at a regular meeting held November 14, 1988. <br />A.
