Remove all damaged floor joists and install with new floor <br />joists which meet UBC Table #25 U -J-1 for recommended size and <br />spacing. Each joist shall have not less that 1h" bearing on wood <br />or metal nor less than 3" on masonry pursuant to UBC Section 2517 <br />(d) (2) (this includes all floor joists with notches or holes in <br />the top or bottom of joists which exceed 1/16 of the depth and <br />shall not be located in the middle 1/3 of the space pursuant to <br />UBC Section 2517 (d) (3). All lumber shall be identified by the <br />grade mark of an approved agency pursuant to UBC Section 2505. <br />8. Due to water supply freeze-up, the premises intended for <br />human habitation, occupancy. Shall be provided with a portable <br />water supply which meets the requirements of the Commission of <br />Health. Such water supply shall not be connected with unsafe <br />water sources nor shall it be subject to the hazards of back f low <br />or'back siphonage. Proper protection shall be provided- to <br />prevent contamination of food, water, sterile goods and similar <br />materials by back flow or sewage. When necessary, the fixtures <br />device or appliance shall be connected indirectly with the <br />building drainage system. Each family dwelling unit shall have <br />at least one water closet, one lavatory, one kitchen -type sink, <br />and one bathtub or shower to meet the basic requirements of <br />sanitation and personal hygiene. The system must be designed and <br />installed to be protected from the weather pursuant to MN <br />Plumbing Code Section 4715.0210. <br />9. Remove exterior stairway and replace with materials which <br />resist decay from weather pursuant to UBC Section 2516 (c)(3). <br />Both exterior stairways must be constructed minimum of 36" in <br />width, 8" maximum riser, and 9" minimum treads pursuant to UBC <br />Section 3306 (a) (b) (c). <br />10. Remove and replace furnace which will provide a minimum room <br />temperature of 70 degrees fahrenheit at any point 3' above the <br />floor.
