Gappa � Public Services Director's Report <br /> Title Director of Public Secvices ! � <br /> � <br /> Item Description: Request for Sanitary Se; er 701 Dickey Lalce Drive <br /> This is a vacant lot in the Dickey Lake Drive subdivision that has never been built on. This <br /> subdivision was plated in the 1980's. Since the wetland regulations have changed after this lot was <br /> platted, a wetland delineation was recently completed and approved by the Mimlehaha Creel: <br /> Watershed District. This lot is 2.40 acres in size with 0.15 acres of wetland and is confomlance with <br /> the 2.0 acres of diy buildable land zoning requirement. There are no suitable septic sites, on this <br /> propez-ty,that conform to the current septic regulations, so the provision of sewer service for this lot <br /> has been requested. This area was added to the MUSA in the City's recently approved year 2000 to <br /> 2020 Coinmunity Manageinent Plan and is eligible for sewer service with the property responsible <br /> for payment of the total cost for the utility e�tension. <br /> Sewerin�of this lot will require a City project for the installation of 500' of 8"diameter gravity from <br /> the existing sewer on the west side of Willow Drive to the eastern side of the lot. We are <br /> recoinmending that the sewer be jacked or directionally bored under Willo�� Drive in order to <br /> inaintain traffic on Willow Drive. The sewer will be installed in the street right of way on the north <br /> side of Dickey Lake Drive. The estimated cost for this sewer eatension is$61,000, and the property . <br /> owner will need to sign an assessment waiver requesting to be assessed for the total cost of this <br /> project before installation of the sewer is completed. <br /> COUNCIL ACTION REQUESTED: <br /> Motion to approve the provision of sanitaiy sewer service to 701 Dicicey Lalce Drive contin�ent on <br /> the property owner signing an assessment waver agreeing to be assessed for the total proj ect costs for <br /> a City project to extend sewer to the parcel, with the sewer under Willow Drive to be jaciced or <br /> directionally bored in order to maintain traffic flow on Willow Drive. <br />
