- - ' MINUTES OF THE <br /> ORONO PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING <br /> Monday,June 20,2005 <br /> 6:00 o'clock p.m. <br /> (#05-3121 Narrows Saloon,Continued) <br /> Sudheimer suggested restricting the hours on the outdoor patio to 10:00 or 11:00 with no eating or <br /> drinking in that area after 10:00 but allow people to go out there to smoke. <br /> Rahn stated he would not be totally opposed to two-seat tables along the front of the building but that he <br /> would not be in favor of an encroachment. <br /> Bremer pointed out there could potentially be alcohol in that area. <br /> Sudheimer stated they are willing to restrict alcohol in that area. <br /> Bremer stated in her view she would prefer an expansion that is done in stages. <br /> Leslie indicated he is leaning in that same direction. <br /> Sudheimer stated they would need to revise their plans to reflect the kitchen expansion in a different <br /> location and the front vestibule on the interior. <br /> Rahn concurred there should be a parking study done for the area. <br /> Bremer inquired whether the City has received any complaints regarding the narrow width of the parking <br /> stalls in the parking lot. <br /> Gaffron stated he is not aware of any. <br /> Jurgens inquired whether the parking lot could be reconfigured and if the property owners that utilize the <br /> lot could be assessed. <br /> Gaffron stated the parking lot needs to be taken into account and the options considered. <br /> Anderst indicated if the existing kitchen is eliminated,the amount of seating in the bar/restaurant would <br /> be reduced, which would affect the amount of parking needed. <br /> Anderst inquired whether the trees in the front are an issue. <br /> Berg stated she is not opposed to the trees. <br /> Sudheimer stated they have $4000 in an account that was raised from Dog Days that was going to be <br /> designated for trees in Navarre. <br /> Gaffron stated there are a number of issues surrounding the planting of trees in Navarre that need to be <br /> worked out. <br /> PAGE 38 <br />
