MINUTES OF THE <br />ORONO CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br />MONDAY, JANUARY 22, 2001 <br />PUBLIC SERVICE DIRECTOR'S REPORT <br />None <br />CITY ADMINISTRATOR'S REPORT, CONTINUED <br />*( #8) RENEWAL OF POLICE SERVICE AGREEMENTS <br />White moved, Nygard seconded, to approve the renewal of the Police Service <br />Agreements with Minnetonka Beach and Spring Park for 2001, and to approve the <br />Police Service Agreement with Long Lake for the years 2001, 2002, and 2003. <br />VOTE: Ayes 3, Nays 0. <br />*( #11) RESIGNATION OF HEIDI STURMAN, ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT <br />ASSISTANT <br />White moved, Nygard seconded, to accept the resignation of Heidi Sturman from her <br />position as Administrative Support Assistant effective January 19, 2001. <br />VOTE: Ayes 3, Nays 0. <br />*( #12) APPOINTMENT OF ON -SITE SEPTIC SYSTEM MANAGER <br />White moved, Nygard seconded, to approve the appointment of Matthew Bolterman to <br />the position of On -Site Septic System Manager at a salary of $37,300, which is Step 1 <br />of Level 1 of the Supervisory /Administrative Pay Schedule, effective <br />February 12, 2001. VOTE: Ayes 3, Nays 0. <br />Moorse stated he has included a copy of a letter in the City Council packet which was sent to <br />the Fire Chief which addresses the issues to be discussed and the cost sharing between the <br />two cities for the new fire station at the upcoming meeting on February 5'. <br />Moorse stated he will be tentatively scheduling a Council work session on February 8' to <br />discuss issues relating to possible TIF assistance on the proposed senior housing project. <br />CITY ATTORNEY'S REPORT <br />City Attorney Tom Barrett requested an executive session with the Council to discuss <br />threatened litigation. <br />Page 4 <br />• <br />• <br />• <br />
