MINUTES OF THE <br />ORONO CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br />MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 25, 2000 <br />• <br />*( #6) #2618 JOHN WALKER, 1368 NORTH ARM DRIVE — VARIANCE — <br />RESOLUTION NO. 4525 <br />Peterson moved, Sansevere seconded, to approve and adopt RESOLUTION NO. 4525, <br />a Resolution granting a side yard setback to permit an addition to the existing residence <br />located at 1368 North Arm Drive. VOTE: Ayes 5, Nays 0. <br />*( #7) MARINA LICENSES <br />Peterson moved, Sansevere seconded, to direct City Staff to issue 2000 commercial <br />marina licenses to Windward Marina, Genmar/King's Cove, Sailor's World, and <br />North Shore Marina. VOTE: Ayes 5, Nays 0. <br />Mayor /Council Report follows Item No. 11 <br />PUBLIC SERVICE DIRECTOR'S REPORT <br />*( #8) NAVARRE PARKING LOT PAVING <br />Peterson moved, Sansevere seconded, to approve reclaiming and repaving of the Navarre is <br />Municipal Parking Lot at a cost of $50,000, to be funded from the "Infrastructure <br />(road /bridge) projects" component of the PIR fund and approval of a budget adjustment <br />to reflect this expenditure. VOTE: Ayes 5, Nays 0. <br />*( 0) REQUEST FOR PAYMENT #1— EAST LONG LAKE/FOX RIDGE SEWER <br />PROJECT <br />Peterson moved, Sansevere seconded, to approve Request for Payment #1, East Long <br />Lake /Fox Ridge Sanitary Sewer Project to Minncomm, Inc., in the amount of <br />$65,379.00. VOTE: Ayes 5, Nays 0. <br />CITY ADMINISTRATOR'S REPORT <br />( #11) POLICE CHIEF SELECTION PROCESS — UPDATE AND DISCUSSION WITH <br />HARRY BRULL <br />Brull apprised the City Council on the efforts being taken in the selection of a new police <br />Chief. Brull stated he is receiving a good response from interested applicants and will forward <br />to the City Council information prior to the applicants being interviewed by the Council. <br />Brull noted the mayors of Long Lake and Minnetonka Beach have indicated they do not wish is <br />PAGE 14 <br />
