, � r:^1 <br /> d � Cit of ORONO � <br /> � <br /> • � RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> � NO. 2459 <br /> • • • • ` <br /> B) The proposed use will have no negative impact upon the <br /> neighboring adjacent property owners. <br /> C) Based on the level of use, the fire protection system <br /> � . developed by � staff and applicant will provide the extra <br /> precautions necessary to maintain the public safety and welfare. <br /> D) The use of the facility at a 240 user level will well <br /> satisfy the ratio recommended by this ordinance for day use <br /> - � recreation at a 20 user per 1 acre ratio. <br /> 4. The City Council has considered this application including the <br /> findings and recommendations of the Planning Commission, reports by <br /> staff and comments of the applicant and the effect of the proposed use <br /> on the health, safety and welfare of the community. <br /> 5. The City Counci 1 f inds that granting a Conditiona 1 Use Permit to <br /> allow the reopening of the property to a day use recreation area will <br /> not be detrimental to the health, safety or general welfare of the <br /> public, would not adversely affect light, air nor pose a fire hazard <br />�: • or other danger to neighboring properties, nor will it depreciate <br /> surrounding property values and that the proposed level of use of the <br /> property will be in keeping with the intent and objectives of the <br /> , Zoning Code and Comprehensive Plan of the City. <br /> CONCL�JSIONS, ORDBR AND CONDITIONS <br /> - . Based upon one or more of the above findings, the Orono City <br /> Council hereby grants a Conditional Use Permit per Municipal Zoning Code <br /> Section 10.31, Subdivision 3 (C) to permit a Day Use Recreation area for <br /> the Board of Governors, Big Island Veterans Camp, Record Lot 1, subject to <br /> , the following conditions: <br /> 1. Prior to opening the day use recreation area to the public, the <br />•�� Orono staff must inspect the facility to insure the fol lowing required <br /> ` improvements have been completed: <br /> �� A) All debris, trees, and tree trimmings to be disposed of as <br /> approved by the Orono staff, either by removal, bury, burned, or <br /> • stored in an approved area for removal when ice is in. <br /> � B) Al l 11 remaining bui ldings must be secured as directed by <br /> � the Orono building inspections department. The caretaker cabin <br />��' must be completed for legal occupancy. <br />�t C) All designated fire stations must be completely installed. <br />�-�+ D) Toilet facilities (Peanut Row and South Hil 1 facilities) in <br />�' an approved condition for public use.
