r-� � .3 <br /> �,;�: : � C�t o� ORONO <br /> � <br /> • �� :� RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> � � NO. 2449 <br /> • � • • <br /> A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING A <br /> BUILDING CODE BOARD OF APPEALS <br /> WH$REAS, The City of Orono (hereinafter "City") is a municipal <br /> corporation organizec� and existing under the laws of the State of <br /> ' Minnesota; and � <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council of the City, having duly considered the <br /> matter pursuant to State Building Code Section 1305.0500 Section 204, 2nd <br /> Uniform Building Code Section 204 hereby establishes "The Orono Building <br /> Code Board of Appeals" ; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council of the City having duly consiclered the <br /> quilifacations pursuant to Uniform Building Code Section 204 hereby <br /> • appoints the following persons to the Board of Appeals. <br /> 1 . Steve Anderson, rtinnetonka Fire Inspector <br /> 2. Tom Anderson, Hopkins Building Official <br /> 3. Maureen Bellow, AIA Architect <br /> 4. Jim Hanson, Builder <br /> 5. Theodore PaulFranz, Edina Fire Chief <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council of the City has appointed the Board of <br /> appeals, it shall meet when requested by the Building Official in order to <br /> determine the suitability of alternate materials and methods of <br /> construction, and to provide for a resonable interpretation of the building <br /> code. <br /> WHER�AS, the City Council of the City has found that compensation <br /> to the board members be paid by the appellant at $50.00 per member, and the <br /> Building Official' s rate per hour. <br /> �33ERAS, the City Council of the City directs the board members to <br /> establish reasonable rules and regulations for conducting its <br /> investigations, and shall render all decisions and findings in writing to <br /> • the Building Official , appellant, City Council, and State Building Code <br /> division, within 15 days. <br /> ' Page 1 of 2 <br />
