MINUTES OF THE <br />ORONO CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br />MONDAY, JULY 24, 2000 <br />0 <br />*( #9) PURCHASE OF SEWER VACUUM TRUCK <br />Peterson moved, Sansevere seconded, to approve the purchase of a Vactor Series sewer <br />vacuum truck through the State of Minnesota Cooperative Purchasing Program from <br />MacQueen Equipment, Inc., St. Paul, Minnesota, for a total cost of $247,238.00, to be <br />funded from the Sewer Fund; and to approve a budget adjustment to reflect the <br />expenditure. VOTE: Ayes 5, Nays 0. <br />*( #10) REQUEST FOR PAYMENT 92 — 2000 LIFT STATION PROJECT <br />Peterson moved, Sansevere seconded, to approve Request for Payment #2, 2000 Lift <br />Stations Project to Ford Construction Co., Inc., in the amount of $38,018.05. <br />VOTE: Ayes 5, Nays 0. <br />CITY ADMINISTRATOR'S REPORT <br />( 911) AWARD QUOTATION FOR DEMOLITION OF BUILDINGS AT 3790 SHORELINE <br />DRIVE <br />Flint stated it was his understanding the City would be splitting the costs of tills project with the <br />Parks Commission, Nvhich is not reflected in the memorandum. Flint stated this land was to be <br />treated 50 /50 with the Parks Commission. <br />Mayor Jabbour stated the section of land that the City owns is next to County Road 15, which <br />does not have anything on it. <br />Flint commented that section of land is valued higher than the other section. <br />Mayor Jabbour stated it is better to deplete the Park Fund and for the City to make a contribution <br />to the Park Fund. <br />*( #12) REPLACEMENT OF FACSIMILE MACHINE — BUDGET ADJUSTMENT <br />Peterson moved, Sansevere seconded, to approve the purchase of a Xerox Document <br />WorkCentre Pro 657 facsimile machine through the State of Minnesota Cooperative <br />Purchasing Program from Precision Business Systems, Inc., for a total cost of <br />$2,007.53, to be funded from the Improvement and Equipment Outlay Fund; and to <br />approve a budget adjustment to reflect the expenditure. VOTE: Ayes 5, Nays 0. <br />Page 12 <br />
