Basement - Greenfield wiring used - basement is considered a wet <br /> location, therefore not allowed in this location. <br /> 24. Attic - Greenfield wiring used and is considered a damp location <br /> thus not allowed in this location. <br /> 25. Bedrooms - Greenfield wiring used, more than 4 quarter bends <br /> exist - not permitted. <br /> 26. Misc. - 60 amp service provided. Greenfield wiring is improperly <br /> installed throughout the building. <br /> 27. Building is in a state of deterioration and dilapidation, thus <br /> it is a safety and health hazard pursuant to Minnesota State Building <br /> Code/Uniform Building Code, Section 203. <br /> 28. Orders to remove or repair the structure were issued by the <br /> Building Official on August 26, 1987 and September 2, 1987. These <br /> orders have not been complied with. <br /> • NOW, THBR�FORE, B$ IT RESOLVID as follows: <br /> 1. That the City Council of the City of Orono, pursuant to State <br /> Statute 463.251, hereby orders the owner(s) to board-up and secure the <br /> structure within ten (10) days. The City Council further orders that <br /> unless corrective action is taken within ten (10) days from the date <br /> of service of this order, 'it will result in the City properly securing <br /> the bui lding and the cost thereof wi 11 be charged against the rea 1 <br /> estate as provided in State Statute Section 463.21. <br /> 2. The City Council of the City of Orono, pursuant to the foregoing <br /> findings and in accordance with Minnesota Statutes Sections 463.15 to <br /> 463.261 hereby orders the owner(s) of the property to make the <br /> fol lowing repairs in order to correct the hazardous condition: <br /> INTERIOR <br /> a) Basement Foundation - remove existing foundation and replace <br /> with masonary, concrete or wood foundation per UBC 2907. � <br /> b) Ceiling - if posts are required - replace, per UBC 2516 C <br /> (4 ) . <br /> First Floor <br /> • c) Walls - must replace all insulation in walls per MEC 501.1. <br /> Interior must be provided with sheet rock per UBC 4711 (a). <br /> Firestops must be provided at f Ioor and ceiling per UBC 2516 (f). <br /> ; d) Ceilings - provide bearing, firestop at f loor and ceiling per <br /> UBC 2517 (d) 2. <br /> Paqe 3 of 6 � <br />
